UIL: Advancing to the state level is Amanda Bruner, a sophomore who advanced in ready writing, coached by Angela Antis. Amanda was also an alterate in journalism writing, coached by Debra Brown. Senior, Adelaide Hodnett advanced as an alternate in Social Studies, Coached by Angela Antis. Adelaide has been a UIL competitor throughout her high school career, and has had many visits to the regional competition. This is her first advancement to state. Patrick Saucedo, a junior, advanced as an alternate in persuasive speaking, coached by Angela Antis. This is the most advancements, to the state level, that we have seen at one time in years. Congrats to these kids for their hard work and dedication to academics.
